Envision Carson City

In October 2023, Carson City launched the first major update of its Envision Carson City Master Plan since 2006.  The process is an opportunity for all Carson City residents, business and property owners, and other community members to help shape Carson City’s future. This project does not include a full Master Plan rewrite, but rather a targeted approach to modernize the existing Master Plan to reflect the progress Carson City has made over the last 17 years. Updates to the Master Plan will also acknowledge the evolution of technology and culture that have changed how the City conducts its business. The updated Master Plan will re-establish the vision and goals for Carson City, as well as update the policy foundation to guide where and how Carson City grows in the future. This website will be the community’s go-to source of information throughout the process.
